After experimenting with a couple of other methods of streaming the audio from the nets on this site, I found that what I was already using was the best option.

I thought I could save some server space by switching to a Media Player stream, but to get the same quality audio as the flash stream the file sizes were actually larger and slower to load.

I opted for the 'full version' of the program that I have been using all along, eliminating  the annoying messages included in the audio.

I have re-coded all of the old nets to remove the annoying IDs and all future nets will utilize the new software. Also, the nets now run in a small, popup window so you can browse the rest of the site at the same time you are listening!
